Saturday, June 2nd, 11:00am-3:00pm
(Rain
Date: Sunday, June 3rd)
It’s hard to believe we’ve now reached 5 years
that this event is taking place. When
we first thought of the idea, and had a planning meeting on a very, very cold
day in January of 2003, we thought this would just be a one time fun get
together. Who knew it would grow
into a tradition?!?!?
I’ve said it before, and I’m going to say it
again, it CAN’T rain again this year, can it???
We discussed many different items with the planning
committee, and we truly believe that the best idea is to stay true to our roots.
If you have something you’d like to see as part of the Revolution,
please let us know. We intend to keep the Revolution simple and centered around
friends and cars, in that order, but are always open to suggestions.
A registration table will be set up in the parking
lot. If you are registered, a
nametag will be waiting for you at the table.
All you can eat catered cookout will be provided at
the event, so bring your appetite. Again,
please remember that alcohol is not permitted inside the park grounds.
We encourage everyone to bring their cameras, as
there will be numerous photo opportunities.
Although the Cobra Revolution IV itself is only June
2nd from 11am to 3pm, we welcome all visitors to join us for “after
event” activities. Once the
Revolution IV has ended, we will head off for a nice cruise. It will include drives through some long, windy and wide open
country roads. This has become part
of our tradition and one of the most looked forward to events.
The cruise will end around dinner time.
We invite you to join us for dinner.
If you plan to make it a weekend, and need hotel information, feel free
to ask and we will get hotels lined up for you.
Washington Crossing Park is located on the border of
Pennsylvania and New Jersey, in historic Bucks County Pennsylvania.
It is conveniently located right off of I-95, and close to Route 1 and
the Pennsylvania Turnpike. We have
a huge parking lot all to ourselves. On
site is plenty of shade and public restrooms.
Feel free to e-mail any questions to Steve Klayman at
Klayfish@aol.com
Directions: The
website for the park is http://www.phmc.state.pa.us/bhsm/toh/washington/washingtoncrossing.asp
if you wish to look it up for your specific starting location.
The street address of the visitors center (which is 200 yards from our
area) is 1112 River Road, Washingtons’ Crossing, Pa. 18977.
There will be Cobra Revolution signs nearby to guide you in.
General directions- If you are on I-95 North, get off
at the New Hope exit (last exit in PA). Turn
left at the bottom of the ramp, onto Taylorsville Rd.
Travel approx. 1-2 miles and turn right onto General Washington Memorial
Rd. (Rt. 532). Go straight on Rt.
532 less than one mile, and you will come to a stop sign just before a bridge
that would take you into New Jersey. Turn
left at the stop sign. You will
pass the visitors center on your right. Just
past that, there will be an entrance to the park on your left (a huge flag pole
stands there). Turn into the park
and you will see our parking lot on your right.
From I-95 South, get off at the New Hope exit (first
one in PA). Turn right onto
Taylorsville Rd. and follow the directions above.
